He is the Napoleon of Crime!

The King of Bohemia turns to Sherlock Holmes in his dire need: his secret love affair with the fascinating Miss Adler threatens to become his political downfall. What initially appears to be a simple case soon unfolds into a highly explosive power play, as none other than Professor Moriarty – once Holmes's mentor and now his bitter enemy – is pulling the strings in the background. But Moriarty isn't the only threat: Miss Adler shakes Holmes's strictly logical world, and for the first time, the reserved master detective appears to be developing real feelings. While Watson wrestles with his jealousy and Holmes's dominant brother unexpectedly intervenes, the situation escalates into a deadly game of love, betrayal, and crime.

Ken Ludwig, who has already successfully adapted Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express for the stage, now turns his attention to another legendary figure in English crime fiction: "My play is primarily about the deep friendship between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. It forms the core of the myth created by Conan Doyle. The Moriarty Case is my attempt to give us all a fresh opportunity to experience the comedic fun and melodramatic pyrotechnics of the Holmes universe."

Following his highly successful production of The Great Dictator, Dominic Oley will bring this captivating Sherlock Holmes adventure to the Kammerspiele stage – again with a small, extremely versatile cast.
