Swing Meets Classic »Concert for Lovers«

A Valentine's Day concert in which swing and classical music merge!

Swing meets Classic is a musical journey through time in which the best big bands and some classical composers are honoured. To mark Valentine's Day, the concert will be complemented by some of the most beautiful duets of love songs.

The programme includes swinging arrangements of works by great composers such as Johann Strauss, Giuseppe Verdi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Stolz and Ludwig van Beethoven as well as big band standards by Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Count Basie.

Florian Frühbeiss takes on a double role in this musical journey through time with the Gerhard Aflenzer Broadway Big Band. He not only leads through the programme as a charming and competent presenter, but also interprets classics of the legendary Rat Pack as a vocalist.

Entertainer Elisabeth Heller celebrates her debut at Swing Meets Classic. As »Lissi & Herr Timpe«, she tours German-speaking theatres from South Tyrol to Hamburg together with her »Guten Morgen Orchester« and her partner and partner Oliver Timpe. Her retro pop shows are bursting with creativity and she is also making her unmistakable vintage sound acceptable again on the radio with her own songs.
