“Parsifal” Richard Wagner’s last opera, premiered at the Bayreuth Festival Hall in 1882. Wagner used Eschenbach’s verse novel "Parzifal" for the story of the opera. More than 40 years earlier, before he began working on Lohengrin, Wagner already showed interest in the story of the German literature of “Parzival”. The story of his work, like many operas by Wagner, is focused on the idea of salvation, but in contrast to the original, the main characters were reduced to a few.
Even Claude Debussy, known as one of Wagner biggest critics, is considered as one of the greatest admirers of the opera "Parsifal". Save your tickets for the Vienna State Opera and book your tickets now at www.viennaticket.at.
