LECKEN 3000

An unexpected text message from her former teacher, Ute, throws Ari off balance. Over ten years ago, the two shared a close relationship that still haunts Ari. Now in her late twenties, she begins, with the support of her friends and in conversations with Ute, to process her memories and confront a profound question: Was what happened to me back then abuse?

The winning play of the 2025 Retzhofer Drama Prize is a witty, fast-paced, and provocative drama about the abuse of power and violence in queer relationships. Lynn T Musiol surprises with a cast of characters of utter distinctiveness, directness, and audacity, crafted with "intellectual and technical brilliance" "without a single mediocre compromise" (jury statement). The play is an attempt to make the uncomfortable and contradictory tangible and expressive with force and speed. The young director Claus Nicolai Six, who directed the last winning play of the Retzhofer Drama Prize, MUTTERTIER, at the Schauspiel Köln in 2024, celebrates his debut at the BURG with LECKEN 3000.
