Lesen und Lauschen: Geschichten vom Franz

 

Franz Fröstl is six years old and lives in Vienna. Starting school isn't exactly easy: his best friend Gabi Gruber isn't in the same class as him and, to his dissatisfaction, Franz also discovers that learning to read takes a long time. As if that wasn't enough, his class teacher is also a strange zigzag guy who only speaks in an abrupt and unfriendly manner and orders the students around as if they were soldiers. Franz thinks that Zigzag could be a little more polite, but it's not that easy to explain that to Zigzag, because as soon as he gets upset, he gets a very squeaky voice. That's a problem because Franz can't explain to Zigzag how the numbers disappear from the math book, or Gabi that she's - of course - wrong when the two argue again. This is all annoying, but Franz knows how to help himself.
