"Now it's about the people closest to me: Me! Me! Me!"

That's the model we're presented with, in politics, on social media, and in the kindergarten WhatsApp group. We live in a society full of winners, where everyone wants to be first, indeed, has to be first. Whoever comes in second has already lost, been left behind, fallen by the wayside.

These forces also influence Thomas Mraz, and therefore his motto now is: MRAZ FIRST! Yet he's rarely—very rarely—actually never—been first at anything.

It's high time that Mraz, in his first solo show, confronts his big questions: Is he aiming for chairman of the allotment association? Is he opening his sausage stand, exactly as he remembers it from back in the day? Is he old enough to apply for early retirement? Is he a well-traveled cosmopolitan or a working-class guy from Favoriten? Or perhaps both?

And most importantly: Is he really just as much of an egoist as everyone else?
