And why would anyone want to, when this unique combination of passion, talent, dedication, and creativity continues to inspire and delight audiences after five decades?

Following the acclaimed anniversary tours of recent years, ABBAMANIA THE SHOW returns in 2027 to celebrate another milestone: the 50th anniversary of ABBA’s classic Thank You for the Music. Under this special theme, the tour pays tribute to the worldwide appreciation for a band whose songs have accompanied, moved, and united generations of fans.

Since its release in 1977, Thank You for the Music has symbolised the emotional bond between ABBA and its audience like few other songs. That very connection lies at the heart of the 2027 tour. Together with fans, ABBAMANIA THE SHOW becomes a musical love letter to the Swedish pop icons and a celebration of the timeless songs that continue to resonate around the world.

Originally written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus in 1977 for the mini-musical The Girl with the Golden Hair, which was performed during ABBA’s world tour that same year, Thank You for the Music was conceived as a light-hearted theatrical number. As part of the story about the rise and self-doubt of a young singer, the song evolved into one of ABBA’s defining works, thanks to its sweeping melody, rich orchestration, and Agnetha Fältskog’s expressive vocals.
