When members of the Vienna Philharmonic perform a New Year's Eve concert at the Musikverein, it's not necessarily the traditional preview of the famous New Year's Concert. For years now, on December 30th and 31st, the Vienna Ring Ensemble, under the direction of Philharmonic legend Rainer Küchl, has been ringing in the New Year in the Brahms Hall with the most beautiful melodies of the Strauss dynasty. This year's repertoire also includes some of the most renowned waltzes and other dances.
