BIBIZA Franz is a born-and-raised Viennese from Mariahilf, 26 years old and still loyal to his home turf. On the district’s coat of arms he appears as Don Juan de Austria – fitting, of course. He nearly ended up an East Tyrolean, but nope. He calls his city “Bebi,” loving and hating it the way an artist should.

Musically, he came out of nowhere: crafting beats, rapping, meeting musicians – and in 2021 he dropped not one but two albums: “Zwei Zöpfe auf dem Kopf” and “Lebe wie ein Hippie.” Hovering somewhere between ironic self-reflection and classic Viennese swagger: “I step out of the shower feeling fresh,” “F*** the world,” “Life comes exactly as ordered.”

In 2023 his first full-length album “Wiener Schickeria” arrived – a slap in the face wrapped in a wink. Acting legend Ofczarek opens the door into BIBIZA’s decadent universe, from the opera to the villa, straight into Babylon. The sound? Minimalist at its core, heavy-hitting bass, screaming guitars, synths on overdrive. And perfectly crafted pop one-liners like: “If you’re wobbling, you’re enjoying more of the journey.”

The album was created at Villa LaLa with producers like Filous, Johannes Madl, and Enzo Gaier. By now, BIBIZA has a real band: Enzo Gaier (guitar), Moritz Meixner (drums), Xaver Nahler (keys), and Markus Windisch (bass). After support tours, he hit the road in 2023 with “Wiener Schickeria” – and sold out every single date.

BIBIZA says: “I’ll die young, so come to my concerts.” And even though we obviously hope the first part isn’t true, we’ll definitely take care of the second next summer – in July it’s time for a little Schickeria at Vienna’s METAStadt!
