Sixteen years ago, a unique concert concept sparked great enthusiasm among In Extremo fans. Under the title “Tranquilo,” the band presented their songs for the first time in unusually mellow, acoustic arrangements, revealing a completely different side of their work. The response was overwhelming, and ever since, many fans have been hoping for a continuation of this extraordinary format.

Now the time has finally come. With “Tranquilo II,” In Extremo is once again heading out on an acoustic tour. A lot has happened in the sixteen years since the first installment. New albums have been released, numerous songs have found their way into the repertoire, and many of them are practically begging to be brought to life in a new, acoustic guise.

The fact that the band is taking this step fits perfectly with their self-image. In Extremo have always been known for their willingness to experiment and have earned a reputation for constantly surprising their fans with unusual concert ideas and unique venues. From their early days at medieval markets to major festival and arena shows around the globe, they have repeatedly proven that they view musical boundaries not as limitations, but as invitations.

“Tranquilo II” consistently carries on this tradition. The tour will deliberately take place at select, particularly
atmospheric venues, including some of the most beautiful concert halls in the German-speaking world. Instead of large stages and pyrotechnic spectacles, this time the focus is on atmosphere, intimacy, and musical subtleties.

The audience can look forward to very special, intimate evenings. In Extremo will present their classics as well as rarely performed gems in an acoustic setting, along with surprising new interpretations of their hits and anthems. Familiar melodies suddenly appear in a new light—sometimes stripped down and moving, sometimes playful and surprising.

In Extremo has also come up with a special surprise for this tour. The band will be joined by top-tier guests and outstanding musicians: Oliver “SaTyr” Pade and Niel Mitra from Faun, as well as violinist Justin Ciuche, who will enrich the “Tranquilo” concept with additional timbres and musical virtuosity. Faun are among the world’s leading bands in blending ancient soundscapes with modern music and have set international standards in this genre with numerous successful albums and hundreds of concerts.
With their unmistakable sound blending modern rock and centuries-old musical influences, In Extremo has defined its own genre and become arguably the best-known and most successful medieval
rock band in the world. For three turbulent decades, the band has captivated a global audience of millions. Seven of their albums have been certified with precious metal, four of which reached number one on the German album charts.

But no matter how big the stages have become, one idea has always been at the heart of In Extremo: the
shared celebration of music, camaraderie, and community. It is precisely this feeling that the band members now want to bring to life in a new, intimate way with “Tranquilo II.”

For fans of the band and for anyone who wants to discover their music from a completely new perspective, this tour will be a very special experience. “Tranquilo II” is a must-see for every In Extremo fan.
