Hans Sigl: The Christmas Show Globe Vienna - Marx Hall - Wien Mon 21.Dec 2026 19:30 replace me !Following last year’s huge success, Hans Sigl is returning this Advent season with a completely new program for his Christmas show. In December 2026, the actor—best known for his role in the ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor”—will perform live in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg with “Hans Sigl: The Christmas Show.”
Musically, Hans Sigl will be accompanied by exceptional trios featuring piano, double bass, and percussion.
With a selection of cheerful and contemplative Christmas stories personally curated by Hans Sigl, the actor invites the audience to an atmospheric evening. Humorous texts by Heinz Erhardt and Axel Hacke, classic Christmas literature by Theodor Fontane and Charles Dickens, and enchanting winter fairy tales from Scandinavia combine with musical interludes to create a varied program. Alternating between quiet moments and tongue-in-cheek humor, the result is a rich, atmospheric production that immerses the audience in the special spirit of the Christmas season. With his engaging and approachable manner, Hans Sigl guides the audience through the evening, forging a direct and uniquely personal connection with them. The evening is framed by close friends: Michael Armann, who has been at the piano for decades whenever Sigl gives readings, improvises with double bassist Malte Tönissen and percussionist Almuth Lustig on Christmas classics such as “Jingle Bells” and “Silent Night, Holy Night.” At some shows, the Frankfurt trio of Bastian Weinig, Max Jentzen, and Nicolas Hering swings through these world-famous melodies. Hans Sigl: “I love the direct connection with the live audience. In addition to my acting work in film and television, literary evenings are truly close to my heart. That special atmosphere in the hall—and yes, above all, sharing a laugh with the audience—makes every evening unique for me!”
