    The crazy journeys of ship's doctor Lemuel Gulliver to Lilliput and the land of the giants are full of fantasy and adventure; the lesser-known expeditions to the flying island of Laputa and the land of talking horses are at least as exciting. Jonathan Swift's literary classic is primarily marketed as a children's book in German-speaking countries, but it is actually a biting satire: how absurd one's own existence seems when one encounters completely different life forms and worlds.
